Gowans Head, St, Pembrokeshire

Historical Description

Gowans Head, St, a headland in Pembrokeshire, on the Bristol Channel, 6 miles S by W of Pembroke. It forms part of a rugged reach of coast, and is itself a limestone cliff, 166 feet high. An old chapel and a holy well are near it.
