Carreg Gwastad Point, Pembrokeshire

Historical Description

Carreg-Gwastad Point, a headland in Llanwnda parish, Pembrokeshire, 4½ miles WNW of Fishguard. A French force of 1400 men landed here in 1797, and were captured by a body of yeomanry under Lord Cawdor, the lord-lieutenant of the county.
