Taffs Well, Glamorgan
Historical Description
Taffs Well, a hamlet in Eglwysilan parish, Glamorgan, on the river Taff, near Walnut Tree Bridge station on the Taff Vale railway, and 6 miles SE of Pontypridd. It takes its name from a tepid medicinal spring, and it has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Cardiff. It has a chapel of ease, and Calvinistie Methodist, Congregational, and Wesleyan chapels.
