Glyntaff, a hamlet in Eglwysilan parish, and an ecclesiastical parish in Eglwysilan and Llantivet-fardre parishes, Glamorgan. The hamlet lies on the river Tan", adjacent to the Glamorgan Canal, 1 ½ mile SE of Pontypridd. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1848. Population, 7414. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Llandaff; net value, .6300 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Llandaff. The church was erected in 1841. There is a cemetery.
