These marriages were transcribed from the original register books in 1967 by W. Batty-Smith, and have not previously been published. There are three copies - one in the Leicester Archives, another in the Society of Genealogists' library, and the final copy we still have in the family. It is from this final copy that the extracts have been taken.
Note: Where the parish of the bride or groom is not stated specifically, they should be assumed to be of the same parish as that in which the parties where married.
