Littleton (St. Mary Magdalene)

LITTLETON (St. Mary Magdalene), a parish, in the union of Winchester, hundred of Buddlesgate, Winchester and N. divisions of the county of Southampton, 3 miles (N. W. by N.) from Winchester; containing 135 inhabitants. It comprises 1293 acres: an act of inclosure was passed in 1843. The living is a perpetual curacy; net income, £76; patrons and appropriators, the Dean and Chapter of Winchester, whose tithes have been commuted for £703, and who have a glebe of 10 acres.
