Helsby
HELSBY, a township, in the parish of Frodsham, union of Runcorn, Second division of the hundred of Eddisbury, S. division of the county of Chester, 2ΒΌ miles (S. W. by W.) from Frodsham; containing 572 inhabitants. It comprises 1054 acres, of a sandy and a marshy soil. There is a freestone-quarry. A national school was established in 1846.
