Hatton

HATTON, a township, in the parish of Marston-uponDove, union of Burton, hundred of Appletree, S. division of the county of Derby, 9½ miles (W. S. W.) from Derby; containing 330 inhabitants. It comprises 780 acres of rich land, and has a disconnected ancient-built village. A handsome stone bridge here crosses the Dove into Staffordshire, to Tutbury; it was erected in 1817, is 93 yards in length, and consists of five arches. The road from Derby to Sudbury passes through the village.
