Ballaghmoon

BALLAGHMOON, a parish, in the barony of KILREA and MOONE, county of KILDARE, and province of LEINSTER, 3 miles (S. W. by S.) from Castledermot; containing 311 inhabitants. This parish is situated on the confines of the county of Carlow, and comprises 2042 statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. It is a rectory and vicarage, in the diocese of Dublin, and forms part of the union of Castledermot: the tithes amount to £110. In the R. C. divisions also it forms part of the union or district of Castledermot.
