Thuxton (St. Paul)
THUXTON (St. Paul ), a parish, in the union of Mitford and Launditch, hundred of Mitford, W. division of Norfolk, 4 miles (N. by E.) from Hingham; containing 103 inhabitants, and comprising 1084a. 2r. The living is a discharged rectory, valued in the king's books at £4. 6. 3.; net income, £211; patron, Mrs. Castell. The church is an ancient structure in the early and later English styles, with a tower and octagonal turret; in the east window is a figure of St. Paul, in stained glass, given by the Rev. W. Castell.
