Shaugh

SHAUGH, a parish, in the union of Plympton St. Mary, hundred of Plympton, Ermington and Plympton, and S. divisions of Devon, 6 miles (N.) from Earl's-Plympton; containing 698 inhabitants. The parish is situated in a district abounding with romantic scenery, and comprises 8773 acres, of which 6367 are common or waste land. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to that of Samford-Spiney.
