Marchington Woodlands
Marchington Woodlands.-This township chapelry is in Hanbury parish; it contains 2500 acres, 350 inhabitants, 68 houses, and real property valued at £3855. The living is a perpetual curacy worth £95; the church was built in 1860, and is a good example of the geometric decorated style. Its position is very beautiful. There are two manors here, Houndhill and Smallwood. The country round is well wooded, and very picturesque.
