Ashampstead is a village and parish 11 miles west from Reading, 10 south from Wallingford, 5 south-west from Pangbourne station on the Great Western railway, in the Southern division of the county, Moreton hundred, Bradfield union, Reading petty sessional division and county court district, rural deanery of Bradfield, archdeaconry of Berks and diocese of Oxford.
