Llanfihangel Bachellaeth

Llanfihangel Bachellaeth is a parish in the hundred of Gaffiogion, county of Carnarvon, 6 miles west from Pwllheli railway station, 4 south from Nevin and 26 south-west from Carnarvon, in the registration and sub-registration districts, union of Pwllheli, petty-sessional division and county-court district of Pwllheli, rural deanery of Lleyn, archdeaconry of Merioneth, diocese of Bangor, situated on the road from Pwllheli to Sarn. To the westward is Carn Madryn, 1,205 feet in height. The church is dedicated to St. Michael, The register dates from the year 1692. The living is a rectory annexed to Llanbedrog with Llangian, average tithe rent-charge £501, gross income £511, with residence, in the gift of the Bishop of Bangor, and held since 1880 by the Rev. James Rowland of St. David's. College, Lampeter, rural deanery of Lleyn.

Rhydyclafdy is a small village.
