Trefdraeth

Trefdraeth is a parish in the hundred of Malltraeth, county of Anglesey, 4 miles east-north-east of Aberffraw and 1½ east of Bodorgan railway station, in the union of Bangor, sub-registration district of Beaumaris, Anglesey first petty-sessional division, county-court district of Llangefni, rural deanery of Malltraeth, archdeaconry of Bangor and Anglesey and diocese of Bangor. The parish church, dedicated to St. Beuno, is situated half a mile to the east of the road from Aberffraw to Llangefni, and will seat 210. The registers date from the year 1551. The living is a rectory united with Llangwyfan, average tithe rent-charge £466, net yearly income £288, with residence, in the gift of the Bishop of Bangor, and held since 1880 by the Venerable John Pryce M.A. of Jesus College, Oxford, rural dean and surrogate. There are places of worship for Wesleyans and Calvinistic Methodists.

Bethel and Yard Malltraeth are small villages in this parish, the former half a mile and the latter a mile from Bodorgan station.

The area comprises 3,241 acres, of which 62 acres are water ; the population in 1891 was 804.
