Poorstock

POORSTOCK, a village, 4 miles N.E. from Bridport and 5 S.E. from Beaminster. The Church is dedicated to St. Mary, and the living is a vicarage in the gift of the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury. The parish, with West Milton, Nettlecombe and South Poorton, had in 1841 a population of 1090.
