Mappowder
MAPPOWDER, a village, 6 miles S.W. from Sturminster and 6 N.E. from Cerne Abbas. The Church is a small neat structure, surmounted with a tower. The living is a rectory. The parish comprises 1887 acres, and contained in 1841, 270 inhabitants.
