Iwerne Minster

IWERNE MINSTER, or Ewerne, a village about 6 miles, S. from Shaftesbury, and the same distance N. from Blandford. The Church is a handsome cruciform structure, and the living of which is a vicarage. There is a Baptist Chapel and a National school, This parish comprises 3000 acres, and had in 1841, a population of 783. Post Office, at Joseph Wood's. Letters arrive at 9 a.m. and 3 30 p.m. and are despatched to Blandford at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
