Evershot

EVERSHOT, a parochial chapelry in the parish of Frome St. Quintin, 7 miles E.N.E. from Beaminster; formerly a market was held here; a fair for cattle, pigs, &c. takes place on May the 12th. The parish comprises 1386 acres, and had in 1841 a population of 566. Post Office at James Chubb's, Letters are received from and despatched to Dorchester daily.
