Corfe Mullen
CORFE MULLEN, a village 3 miles S.W. from Wimbome and 8 S.E. from Blandford. The church, an ancient one, has recently been repaired and enlarged. In pursance of a benefaction bread and cheese is distributed to the poor every Sunday, not exceeding the value of £18 per annum. The parish comprises 2917 acres and had in 1841, a population of 758. Post Office, at William Holloway's. Letters arrive at 7 a.m. and are despatched at 7 p.m.
