Compton Nether

COMPTON NETHER, or Nether Compton, a village 3 miles N.W. by W. of Sherborne. The parish contained 456 inhabitants in 1841. Post Office, at Elizabeth Leader's. Letters arrive via Sherborne at 9 45 a.m. and are despatched thereto at 2 10 p.m.
