CHILD OKEFORD, a village on the river Stour, 6 miles N.W. from Blandford, and 4 S.E. from Sturminster Newton. The church is a neat building and has a noble square tower. Living a rectory value £230 per annum. The parish in which is a National school, contained in 1841, 680 inhabitants.
