Hartwell
Hartwell, sometimes called "Wold Hartwell," and in Domesday "Hartewelle," is a scattered village and parish on the borders of Bucks, 2 miles east-by-south from Roade station on the main line of the London and North Western railway, 7 south-by-east from Northampton and 7 east from Towcester, in the Southern division of the county, hundred of Cleley, union of Potterspury, petty sessional division and county court district of Towcester, rural deanery of Preston (second portion), archdeaconry of Northampton and diocese of Peterborough.
