Morton

Morton is a township and parish, half a mile west from Doe Hill station (which is in the parish), 1½ miles south-east, from Stretton station, both on the Midland railway, 4 north from Alfreton and 7½ south from Chesterfield, in the Mid division of the county, Scarsdale hundred, Chesterfield union, Alfreton petty sessional division and county court district, rural deanery of Alfreton, archdeaconry of Derby and diocese of Southwell.
