Amersham

Amersham is a market and union town and parish, on the Misbourne stream, with a station about 1 mile from the town on the Aylesbury extension of the Metropolitan railway; it is 3½ miles from Chalfont Road station on the same line, 7 from High Wycombe station on the Great Western railway, 8 from Berkhampstead station on the London and North Western railway, 4½ south from Beaconsfield, 3 south from Chesham and 26 from London, in the Southern division of the county, hundred and petty sessional division of Burnham, county court district of Chesham, rural deanery of Amersham, archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese of Oxford.
