Stanford Dingley is a parish and village 4 miles north-east from Midgham station and 4 miles north (by private road) from Aldermaston station on the Great Western railway, 10 north-west from Reading and 8 north-east from Newbury, in the Southern division of the county, hundred of Faircross, union or Bradfield, petty sessional division and county court district of Newbury, rural deanery of Bradfield, archdeaconry of Berks and diocese of Oxford.
