Sparsholt

Sparsholt is a parish in the Northern division of the county, consisting of the township of Sparsholt and Westcote hamlet, which is in the hundred of Eastmanton, petty sessional division, union and county court district of Wantage, and of Kingston Lisle township and Fawler hamlet, which are in Faringdon hundred, petty sessional division, union and county court district, in the rural deanery of Wantage, archdeaconry of Berks and diocese of Oxford. Sparsholt is near the Wilts and Berks canal, 4 miles west from Wantage and 3 south from the Challow station on the Great Western railway.
