Farnborough

Farnborough is a village and parish, pleasantly situated on the Downs, 11 miles north from Newbury, 5 south-by-east from Wantage, 7 south from Wantage Road station on the main line of the Great Western railway, and 6 miles east from Shefford station on the Lambourn Valley railway, in the Southern division of the county, hundred of Compton, Ilsley petty sessional division, Wantage union and county court district, and in the rural deanery of Wantage, archdeaconry of Berks and diocese of Oxford.
