Brimpton

Brimpton is a parish on the borders of Hampshire, 6½ miles east-south-east from Newbury, 2 miles south from the Midgham station on the Great Western railway and 10¾ south-west from Reading, in the Southern division of the county, hundred of Faircross, petty sessional division, union and county court district of Newbury, rural deanery of Bradfield, archdeaconry of Berks and diocese of Oxford. The river Kennet and the Kennet canal are on the north and the river Auburn passes on the east, separating the parish from Wasing.
