Towersey (St. Catherine)

TOWERSEY (St. Catherine), a parish, in the union of Thame, hundred of Ashendon, county of Buckingham, 2ΒΌ miles (E. S. E.) from Thame; containing 413 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the gift of the Slater family, lately separated from the living of Thame. The tithes were commuted for land, cornrents, and money payments in 1822.
