Sotby (St. Peter)

SOTBY (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Horncastle, E. division of the wapentake of Wraggoe, parts of Lindsey, county of Lincoln, 5 miles (E. by N.) from Wragby; containing 156 inhabitants, and comprising 1606 acres by admeasurement. The living is a discharged rectory, valued in the king's books at £9. 0. 10., and in the patronage of the Crown; net income, £193. The tithes were commuted for land in 1801; the glebe altogether contains 300 acres.
