Littleworth

LITTLEWORTH, an ecclesiastical district, in the parish and union of Farringdon, partly in the hundred of Shrivenham, and partly in the hundred of Farringdon, county of Berks, 2 miles (N. E.) from Farringdon; containing, with the tything of Wadley, 325 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the patronage of the Bishop of Oxford; net income, £80. The chapel, dedicated to the Holy Ascension, was consecrated on the 29th of May, 1839, and contains 200 free sittings, the Incorporated Society having granted £150 in aid of the expense. Oriel College, Oxford, gave £1000 towards the endowment.
