Lench, Atch

LENCH, ATCH, a hamlet, in the parish of Church-Lench, union of Evesham, Lower division of the hundred of Blackenhurst, Pershore and E. divisions of the county of Worcester, 5½ miles (N.) from Evesham; containing 82 inhabitants. It is situated on the borders of Warwickshire, and comprises 656 acres. The land was formerly nearly barren, but by care and industry it is now equal to most land in this fine part of the county. There is a place of worship for Baptists.
