Laith-Kirk

LAITH-KIRK, a district chapelry, in the township of Lune-Dale, parish of Romald-Kirk, union of Teesdale, wapentake of Gilling-West, N. riding of the county of York, 9 miles (N. W.) from Barnard-Castle. The hamlet is situated to the west of the Lune, and near the confluence of that river with the Tees, which passes on the north. The chapel is an ancient edifice: the living is in the gift of the Rector.
