Knapton

KNAPTON, a township, partly in the parish of Holy Trinity, Micklegate, city of York, and partly in the parish of Acomb, E. division of Ainsty wapentake, W. riding of York, 3ΒΌ miles (W. by N.) from York; containing 98 inhabitants. It comprises 860 acres: the river Ouse passes to the east of the village.
