Hemlington
HEMLINGTON, a township, in the parish of Stainton, union of Stokesley, W. division of the liberty of Langbaurgh, N. riding of York, 4ΒΌ miles (N. by W.) from Stokesley; containing 71 inhabitants. The township forms part of the district called Cleveland, and comprises by computation 1076 acres: the village is situated on the road from Stokesley to Stockton.
