Farlow, or Fawler, with Kingston-Lisle

FARLOW, or FAWLER, with Kingston-Lisle, a chapelry, in the parish of Sparsholt, union of Farringdon, hundred of Shrivenham, county of Berks, 5ΒΌ miles (W.) from Wantage; containing 397 inhabitants, of whom 144 are in the hamlet of Fawler. The chapel, dedicated to St. James, has been pulled down, and a new one built in a more convenient situation at Kingston-Lisle. A school is supported by endowment and subscription.
