Ellerker

ELLERKER, a township and chapelry, in the parish of Brantingham, union of Beverley, wapentake of Howdenshire, E. riding of York, 1ΒΌ mile (S. by W.) from South Cave; containing 373 inhabitants. It comprises by computation 1920 acres of land, of a fertile soil, stretching southward to the river Humber. The chapel is chiefly of brick, and covered with tiles. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans.
