Ash-Gill

ASH-GILL, a hamlet, in the township and parish of Coverham, union of Leyburn, wapentake of Hang-West, N. riding of York, 1¾ mile (W.) from Middleham. Here is a noted training-ground for horses, the property of the Lister family.
