Tullamain, Kilkenny

Historical Description

TULLAMAIN, a parish, in the barony of SHILLELOGHER, county of KILKENNY, and province of LEINSTER, 1½ mile (N.) from Callan, on the road to Kilkenny; containing 435 inhabitants, and comprising 1147 statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. It is a rectory and vicarage, in. The diocese of Ossory, forming part of the union of Callan: the tithes amount to £105. In the R. C. divisions also it is part of the union or district of Callan.
