Corbally, Cork

Historical Description

CORBALLY, a parish, in the barony of BARRETTS, county of CORK, and province of MUNSTER, 5¼ miles (S. W.) from Cork. It is situated on the road from Cork to Bandon, and is a rectory, in the diocese of Cork, two-third parts of which are appropriate to the vicars choral of the cathedral of St. Finbarr, Cork, the remaining third forming part of the union of Carrigrohane and of the corps of the precentorship of Cork. The tithes amount to £70, of which £46. 13. 4. is payable to the vicars choral, and £23. 6. 8. to the precentor.
