Historical Description
Copgrove, a parish in the W.R. Yorkshire, on the river Tutt, with a station on the N.E.R., 4½ miles N of Knares-borough. Post town, Leeds; money order and telegraph office, Burton Leonard. Acreage, 860; population, 83. Copgrove Hall is the seat of the Shiffner family, who are lords of the manor. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ripon; net value, £154 with residence.
