Yatesbury, Wiltshire

Historical Description

Yatesbury, a parish in Wiltshire, 4½ miles E by N of Calne station on the G.W.R. Post town, Calne, under Chippenham; telegraph office, Avebury. Acreage, 1674; population, 148. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Salisbury; net value, £320 with residence. The church, partly restored and partly rebuilt in 1855, is a handsome structure of stone in the Norman and Perpendicular styles.
