Withersfield, Suffolk

Historical Description

Withersfield, a parish in Suffolk, 2 miles NW of Haverhill station on the G.E.R. It has a post office under Newmarket; money order and telegraph office, Haverhill. Acreage, 2498; population, 634. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely; net value, £340 with residence. The church was partly rebuilt and enlarged in 1868.
