Historical Description

Westhorpe, a parish in Suffolk, 1¾ mile W of Finningham station on the G.E.R., and 7 miles N of Stowmarket. Post town, Finningham, under Stowmarket. Acreage, 1337; population, 216. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; gross value, £260 with residence. The church is a large and ancient structure of flint in the Early English style. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
