Gedding, Suffolk

Historical Description

Gedding, an ecclesiastical parish in Suffolk, 3½ miles NE from Cockfield station on the G.E.R., and 6½ Wby S of Stow Market. Post town, Bury Sfc Edmunds; money order office, Felsham; telegraph office, Woolpit. Population, 93. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely; net yearly value, £96 with residence. The church, a small building of flint and brick in the Early English style, was restored in 1884.
