Chillesford, Suffolk
Historical Description
Chillesford, a village and a parish in Suffolk, on the river Butley, 3 miles NW of Orford, and 5½ ESE of Wickham-Market station on the G.E.R. Post town, Wickham-Market; money order and telegraph office, Orford. Acreage, 1852 of land, and 22 of water and foreshore; population, 241. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £236 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Second Pointed style.
