Wolseley, Staffordshire
Historical Description
Wolseley, a village in Colwich parish, Staffordshire, on the river Trent, 2¼ miles NW of Rugeley. It has a bridge over the river, and a post and telegraph office of the name of Wolseley Bridge, under Stafford; money order office, Great Haywood. Wolseley Hall has been the seat of the Wolseley family since a time prior to the Norman Conquest.
