Whiston, Staffordshire
Historical Description
Whiston, a village and a township in Kingsley parish, Staffordshire, 1 mile E of Froghall station on the North Staffordshire railway, and 4 miles ME of Cheadle. Post town, Cheadle, under Stoke-upon-Trent. The township includes also the hamlet of Whiston Eaves. There are Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels.
