Statfold, Staffordshire

Historical Description

Statfold, a parish in Staffordshire, 3 miles ENE of Tamworth. Post town, Tamworth. Acreage, 455; population, 53. Stafford Hall is the ancient seat of the Pipe Wolferstan family. The living is annexed to Lichfield St Mary. There is a small chapel, but it is not used except as the burial-place of the Wolferstan family.
